Sanderson had sued the Goop founder for an initial $3.1 million, which was later reduced to more than $300,000, and she countersued for a symbolic $1 plus legal fees. After the verdict was read in her favor, Paltrow gave a slight smile before approaching Sanderson and delivering brief parting words while patting his shoulder. Social media users immediately speculated what she had said and Sanderson confirmed the exchange to reporters outside the courthouse, according to the AP.
