The Next Generation of Storytellers begins at the Sundance Institute

Founded by Robert Redford in 1981, with the mission of fostering new voices in storytelling, the Sundance Institute champions artists with a multitude of perspectives and provides a platform to bring their stories to the world. Each January, the nonprofit Institute hosts the Sundance Film Festival, bringing artists and audiences together and introducing groundbreaking work. The Festival is but one of the year-round programs the Institute executes in its essential mission of supporting and amplifying the next generation of cinematic storytellers, inspiring new ideas across various media, and building a connected, engaged community of independent film lovers.
